My Life in France

I can’t help but wonder if the movie Julie and Julia would have been better if it focussed solely on the life of Julia Child. If it wasn't for Meryl Streep I don't think I would have sat through the entire movie. The character (can’t be bothered to look up his name) who played Julie’s boyfriend's repulsive eating made me feel sick watching it scene after scene. The movie did however leave me wanting to know more about Julia Child. I picked up JC's book, My life in France last week and so far so good. I plan on going to Italy with Phil next fall and have been trying to decide on a second country to visit. I think I may have to convince him to take a food tour around France! OMG can you imagine?
